Platform‑related limitations

Some accessibility issues identified by automated testing tools are caused by the GoDaddy Website Builder platform and its underlying templates. These issues arise from components we cannot directly edit, including:

• automatically generated structural elements such as sections and widgets
• low‑contrast styling applied by the template
• form field and cookie banner styling controlled by the platform
• ARIA attributes automatically generated by the builder

Although we cannot modify the underlying HTML of these components, we adjust all available design settings. Such as colours, text styles and form appearance - where possible.

Non‑accessible Content

Some platform‑generated elements may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA requirements. These include:

• heading hierarchy inconsistencies in template‑generated content (WCAG 1.3.1 Info and Relationships)
• insufficient colour contrast in certain form inputs and cookie banner elements (WCAG 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum))
• missing or non‑customisable accessible names on some interactive elements (WCAG 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value)

We mitigate these issues wherever the platform allows, and we ensure that all content we directly control follows a clear and logical structure.

Some third‑party or platform‑generated components, such as cookie banners and embedded widgets are controlled by GoDaddy and fall outside our editorial control.

What we are doing to improve accessibility

We regularly review:

• page structure and heading hierarchy
• colour contrast settings available within the GoDaddy builder
• form labels and text clarity where editable

Our ongoing aims are to:

• maintain a logical heading structure (H1–H3) in all content we control
• improve contrast using available theme settings
• ensure all form content is clearly labelled
• reduce reliance on template‑generated elements where possible
